SeaChange Arts, Drill house, Gt Yarmouth

R & D at the Drill House, participation and creation centre in Gt Yarmouth.

The Performance was premiered at the Out There Festival on the 14th & 15th, Sept, 2013.

The Show

Mark and Jon a.k.a the ‘workmen’ enter the performance area where they start to remove an assortment of curious everyday objects from a garden shed, choreographed to music.  The audience awareness of the workmen’s bizarre behaviour grows as the low key, deadpan delivery intensifies with some gentle physical comedy.

Tension builds as a purpose emerges and the space is transformed, with objects, teetering on the verge of collapse.  The chain reaction is triggered, objects knock into one another, rolling, pushing, lifting, transferring energy through the Works... as the crescendo builds into a spectacular climatic  finale.  Works is in development, and is hoped to tour Festivals across Europe in 2014.
